Jude Bellingham has been playing through pain for weeks, but the Real Madrid star has finally confirmed it: surgery is on the horizon.
After being named Man of the Match in Madrid’s 3–1 win over Pachuca in the Club World Cup, the England international revealed in a press conference that he will undergo shoulder surgery — but only after the tournament ends.
“The pain is lighter now, but I was tired of wearing the sling,” Bellingham admitted. “I sweat a lot, I lose weight, and I’ve been waiting a long time. My patience is gone.”
Long-awaited operation is coming
Despite discomfort, Bellingham praised the club’s medical staff for keeping him match-ready. However, the timing of the surgery remains uncertain.
If Real Madrid defeat Salzburg later this week and advance to the next round, the operation could be postponed further to allow Bellingham to continue playing.
Madrid’s progress may delay the inevitable — but the midfielder’s long-awaited operation is coming.
