After delivering a top-class performance, Vinicius Junior experienced a special night at the Santiago Bernabéu against AS Monaco. His Real Madrid teammate Kylian Mbappé was keen to come to his defense.

Whistled in recent days by part of the Madrid crowd, the Brazilian Vinicius was again greeted by a few boos at the start of the match before quickly making them disappear thanks to a stunning display. A turnaround praised by Kylian Mbappé on Instagram: “So happy for you, my brother. All the Madridistas are with you.”

Jude Bellingham, for his part, accepts the whistles. “I’ve always said that the supporters work all week, they pay to come here and they have the right to do what they want. From experience, I don’t think it’s always helpful, but fans have the right to say what they think. But the way we reacted, that’s the kind of performances they want to see,” the England international told TNT Sports.

In Real Madrid’s emphatic Champions League win over AS Monaco (6–1), French forward Kylian Mbappé also made an impression. As often against his former club, Mbappé was ruthless, scoring a brace and extending his streak to twelve consecutive matches with at least one goal against the club from the Principality.

After the match, the France captain also sent a message to ASM on his social media, speaking of “eternal gratitude” toward his former club.
