While the Ballon d’Or sparks endless chatter at PSG, over at Real Madrid… crickets. Absolute radio silence.
After the 30 nominees were revealed last Thursday, the Spanish giants didn’t say a single word — no tweets, no Instagram posts, not even a bored press release.
This, despite Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham all making the list. Seems Los Blancos still haven’t digested Vinicius’ runner-up finish last year. Let’s not forget, they even skipped the ceremony after learning Rodri had won just hours before showtime.
So, don’t be shocked if Real keep up their silent treatment and completely ghost the trophy handover in Paris on September 22. Somewhere in Madrid, a social media intern is probably still on “Ballon d’Or blackout” mode.
