Roger Lukaku, the father of football stars Romelu and Jordan Lukaku, has passed away at the age of 58. His death has been confirmed on social media, where Romelu shared a touching tribute.
Originally from Zaire, Roger Lukaku arrived in Belgium in 1990 and played for several clubs including Boom, Seraing, and Germinal Ekeren. He also had stints in Turkey and later returned to Belgium, where he played for Mechelen and Ostend.
During his career, Roger scored 47 goals in 135 appearances in the Belgian top division and represented the Zaire national team in 11 matches.

In recent years, he gained media attention largely due to the successful careers of his sons, although their relationship experienced ups and downs.
