David Beckham has officially been knighted by King Charles III, entering the elite circle of British sports legends honoured with the title of “Sir.” The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and England star joins the ranks of icons like his former coach, Sir Alex Ferguson.
“I could never have imagined receiving such an honour,” said Beckham, visibly moved. With 115 caps and 17 goals for the Three Lions, he left a lasting legacy in English football — even without a major trophy at international level.
Now officially Sir David Beckham, the football icon’s legacy extends far beyond the pitch.
