A major setback for Racing Club de Strasbourg. Called up to the Argentine national team, Joaquin Panichelli has reportedly suffered a serious injury.
His season appears to be over, and the World Cup now out of reach. According to information from Martin Arevalo, the RCS striker is believed to have ruptured his cruciate ligaments.
A heavy loss for Strasbourg’s ambitions
This represents a huge blow for the Alsatian club, currently competing for a place in the Europa Conference League and still in contention in the Coupe de France. Further details are expected in the coming hours.
Panichelli is also expected to miss the World Cup with Argentina. Already affected by a similar injury in the past, the striker faces another long recovery. The RC Strasbourg staff have been informed of the situation.
