Things have heated up behind the scenes at Parc des Princes. During the PSG–Aston Villa match on April 10, a well-organized black market scheme involving VIP access bracelets was uncovered. According to Paris Match, five individuals were caught red-handed in the act.
€1,500 for VIP Access
The operation involved reselling VIP bracelets, normally reserved for exclusive guests, for up to €1,500 each. These fake access passes granted entry to the coveted Haussmann lounge—a 600-seat VIP area in the Borelli stand.
Security Staff Involved
The club filed a formal complaint in March for fraud and breach of trust. The investigation led to the identification of several suspects, including a security guard and a season ticket holder, who allegedly took advantage of their roles to feed a lucrative underground market.
The five suspects, aged 32 to 51, were placed in police custody and are now banned from attending matches, pending trial.
This scandal is a blow to PSG’s image, and the club has vowed to tighten security around its VIP areas to prevent any further abuse.
