After Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 victory against FC Barcelona at Montjuïc, Vitinha made a strong statement in the mixed zone. He reminded everyone that the pre-match bravado from Barcelona was unnecessary; everything is decided on the field, not in social media posts.
Regarding the pre-game claims from Barça players like Lamine Yamal, who declared he would seek revenge on Instagram, and Pedri, who touted an ‘inferno’ for PSG, Vitinha responded with a casual indifference. He stated, ‘There are often declarations before matches, and things can happen. We don’t care. We just want to play the game, and we are happy with the win.’
Gonçalo Ramos joined in, sending a message to the Barça squad: ‘We are the European champions, and that’s all I have to say. If you’re the best, you need to show it on the pitch, not just talk.’ His words echoed the sentiment of focus and determination that defines PSG’s approach.
