Wissam Ben Yedder on trial for rape!

The verdict has been reached after more than two years of investigation. Targeted by legal proceedings since the summer of 2023, Wissam Ben Yedder will be tried before the departmental criminal court of Alpes-Maritimes for “rape,” “attempted rape,” and “sexual assault,” according to L’Equipe.

Legal troubles continue for Wissam Ben Yedder. His brother Sabri, also indicted in this case, will appear alongside him. The decision was made this Monday by the investigating judge. The events date back to an evening in a rental apartment near Monaco, reported by two young women. The two brothers, placed under judicial control, are now awaiting the date of their hearing. At the time, Ben Yedder was the captain of AS Monaco.

The French international currently plays for Sakaryaspor in Turkey. A serious case that is reaching its judicial turning point. Ben Yedder already convicted Wissam Ben Yedder (35 years old) has already been found guilty of psychological violence against his wife by the correctional court of Nice in another ruling.

The former AS Monaco striker received a heavy penalty: €32,000 in damages, a fine of €600 per day for 150 days, as well as a domestic violence prevention course to be completed within six months, under the threat of one year in prison.

The ruling is based on recordings where the French international made humiliating and threatening remarks, while placing his partner in a precarious financial situation. No physical violence was recorded, but a medical certificate established the temporary incapacity for work (ITT) at eight days.
