Alexander Isak’s Anfield dream is hanging by a thread – and the Newcastle star could be forced into a dramatic U-turn if Liverpool refuse to raise their bid, Football Insider reports.
The 24-year-old striker has made no secret of his desire to join the Reds, but Newcastle have already knocked back an opening £120m offer. Furious Magpies fans feel betrayed, while insiders claim Isak has privately vowed never to play for the club again.
But with the transfer window closing fast, Isak may have no choice. If Liverpool don’t return with an improved bid, he’ll be stuck at St James’ Park until January – leaving him to either sit out months of football or swallow his pride and reintegrate.
