Manchester City are stepping up their pursuit of OL starlet Rayan Cherki.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the English champions have opened concrete talks for the 21-year-old Lyon attacking midfielder, who confirmed his departure from the club recently.
Cherki is among City’s top targets alongside Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest), especially after missing out on Florian Wirtz. His flair, creativity, and affordable fee — around €25–30 million per an oral agreement with OL — make him an attractive prospect.
In 2023-24, Cherki impressed with 44 appearances and 12 goals, even earning a call-up from Didier Deschamps.
OL may try to raise the price, but City are moving fast — and the Premier League dream looks closer than ever for the Lyon native.
