Hansi Flick’s patience is wearing thin. The FC Barcelona coach, frustrated with the club’s slow handling of player registrations, has demanded urgent action so that he can count on his full squad this weekend.
According to Sport, Flick spoke with sporting director Deco but fears the situation will only be resolved in the final week of the transfer window, once exits are confirmed. While Joan Garcia and Marcus Rashford were registered at the last minute, several players are still waiting.
Among Flick’s priorities is Gerard Martín, needed to reinforce a depleted left flank since Íñigo Martínez’s injury. But the defender cannot be registered until the club finds a way to part ways with Oriol Romeu — a deal still unresolved.
Flick losing patience
The goalkeeper situation is equally concerning. Flick had to recall Iñaki Peña from Mallorca despite being unwanted, leaving Szczesny sidelined until Peña departs — something unlikely before deadline week.
Flick is also pushing for Marc Bernal, the young midfielder he sees as a future pivot, to be included in the squad list. Despite promises, Bernal has yet to be registered, which the coach views as unfair.
With Deco working frantically to free up wage space through the departures of Peña, Romeu, or Casadó, Barcelona find themselves — once again — racing against time with just ten days left to fix their administrative puzzle.
