Benzema’s Bold Statement on Real Madrid: “Al-Ittihad is stronger…”

Two years after his departure from Real Madrid, Karim Benzema is enjoying his success at Al-Ittihad, where he has already won the championship and the Saudi Cup.

In an interview with Asharq Documentary, the 2022 Ballon d’Or surprised everyone by stating that the competition is fiercer in Saudi Arabia than in Madrid. “The competition at Al-Ittihad is stronger than that of Real Madrid,” he declared.

This statement is already causing a stir in Europe, especially when one remembers that Benzema shared the Madrid dressing room with stars like Raúl, Higuaín, Morata, and Jović.

The message is clear: at 37 years old, Benzema still feels pushed to the maximum… even far from Europe. For a long time? Not necessarily.

Fenerbahçe Targets Karim Benzema!

There is a crisis in attack at Fenerbahçe, and the Turkish club wants to make a big move this winter. According to local press, president Sadettin Saran met with Domenico Tedesco, who is demanding a true striker. At the top of the list: Karim Benzema.

The former captain of Real Madrid, now at Al-Ittihad, is nearing the end of his contract and could be tempted by one last European challenge. Fenerbahçe is already planning to approach the player in the coming days — and if the Frenchman says yes, the operation could be launched very quickly.

The club is looking for an experienced striker after the failures of En-Nesyri (4 goals on 22 chances) and the injury of Duran. Benzema, 2022 Ballon d’Or winner, remains a symbol of prestige and efficiency, the perfect profile to revive Fenerbahçe.

In Istanbul, the transfer market is heating up: if the Benzema dream materializes, it would be the bombshell of the winter.
