Despite being under contract until 2028, Viktor Gyökeres looks set to leave Sporting Portugal this summer. But where will he go? His choice is becoming clearer.
With 39 goals and 14 assists in 40 matches, the Swedish striker is attracting Europe’s biggest clubs. However, he has already narrowed down his options.
No to PSG and Manchester United, Yes to the Premier League
His top three choices:
- Manchester City – Though competition with Haaland could be a challenge
- Arsenal – A team in need of a top striker
- Liverpool – A potential replacement if Salah or Diaz departs
A Lower Price Tag
Sporting initially demanded €100M in January, but an agreement with Gyökeres could now see him leave for €65-75M—a price well within reach for interested clubs.
PSG, Chelsea, and Barcelona are still in the race but appear to be falling behind.
Is a transfer imminent? The answer will come this summer.
