Set to become a free agent in June, Kevin De Bruyne is attracting considerable interest. Naples has made a bold move to secure the Belgian maestro with a lucrative three-year contract. The midfielder is expected to make a decision soon.
Naples Makes a Strong Offer
Italy could soon become Kevin De Bruyne’s new destination. According to Relevo, newly crowned Serie A champions Napoli are looking to make a strong splash in the summer transfer market. The club has presented a three-year offer to the Manchester City midfielder, with a total salary of €17 million excluding signing bonuses: €6 million per year for the first two seasons, followed by €5 million in the final year. This is far less than the €25 million annual salary he was earning at City.
A Decision Between Serie A and MLS
At 33 years old, the Belgian international is contemplating his future. Aside from Napoli, Chicago Fire (MLS) remains in the race and has also made an offer. However, the ambitious and competitive Napoli project seems to be appealing to “KDB.” A decision is expected soon, as City has yet to extend his contract.
Napoli dreams of making a massive signing to solidify its return to the top, and despite his age, De Bruyne remains a valuable asset.
