Darwin Nuñez set for Saudi switch — Al-Hilal seal €65m deal.
Darwin Nuñez is on his way to Saudi Arabia. Liverpool and Al-Hilal have reached a full agreement for the striker’s transfer, with the deal set at €53 million guaranteed and an additional €12 million in performance-based bonuses — totaling €65 million.
The 26-year-old Uruguayan international has agreed to the move after being convinced by Simone Inzaghi’s project at Al-Hilal. Only the medical and contract signing remain to make the transfer official.
Nuñez, who arrived at Liverpool in 2022 for €75 million, never quite managed to justify his price tag at Anfield. Despite interest from Napoli and AC Milan, he has opted for the Saudi Pro League, where he will now line up alongside big names like Theo Hernandez and João Cancelo.
Liverpool, very active this summer — notably with the €90 million capture of Hugo Ekitike — can now fully focus on other targets, with Alexander Isak high on the list.
