Red alert at Old Trafford. According to corroborated reports, confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Ruben Amorim’s future at Manchester United is over… he has been sacked.

Over the past few weeks, doubts had been growing internally. The board openly questioned Amorim’s ability to commit long term to the Red Devils’ project, amid maximum pressure and immediate demands for results. According to talkSPORT, the atmosphere has deteriorated sharply in recent days, as the club goes through a pivotal structural phase.

The breaking point is clear: the winter transfer window. Amorim demanded immediate reinforcements, while the board refused to loosen the purse strings. Added to this is a sporting rift, with his loyalty to the 3-4-3 system increasingly criticized internally. The result: an isolated manager, a tense dressing room, and a board growing less hesitant.

SACKED: Romano confirms. After the match against Leeds United, Amorim delivered a strong, almost resigned statement: “I came here to be the manager of Manchester United, not its coach. I will not resign. I will do my job until someone else takes my place.” Under contract until June 2027, Amorim was therefore dismissed on Monday morning, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Darren Fletcher will replace Ruben Amorim and take the Manchester United job on interim basis, according to David Orstein.
