Red alert at Old Trafford. According to corroborated reports, confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Ruben Amorim’s future at Manchester United is over… he has been sacked.

Over the past few weeks, doubts had been growing internally. The board openly questioned Amorim’s ability to commit long term to the Red Devils’ project, amid maximum pressure and immediate demands for results. According to talkSPORT, the atmosphere has deteriorated sharply in recent days, as the club goes through a pivotal structural phase.

“I came here to be the manager…”, and… Fired

The breaking point is clear: the winter transfer window. Amorim demanded immediate reinforcements, while the board refused to loosen the purse strings. SACKED: Romano confirms. After the match against Leeds United, Amorim delivered a strong, almost resigned statement: “I came here to be the manager of Manchester United, not its coach. I will not resign. I will do my job until someone else takes my place.” Under contract until June 2027, Amorim was therefore dismissed on Monday morning, according to Fabrizio Romano.
