Red Bull is losing patience. The Paris FC co-owner wants to speed things up in a transfer window that has been underwhelming so far.
According to L’Équipe, Red Bull, which holds a 10.6% stake, is moving from observer to decision-maker, now taking a stronger hand in sporting choices—sometimes at the expense of coach Stéphane Gilli.
Proof of this shift: the arrival of Marco Neppe, former head of recruitment at Bayern Munich, who has joined forces with sporting director François Ferracci.
The stakes are high
The timing is telling. Paris FC’s Ligue 1 start has been poor, with a 0-1 defeat at Angers highlighting glaring weaknesses: the squad still lacks a solid right-back, an experienced box-to-box midfielder, and a reliable striker.
So far, the signings of Kevin Trapp, Otavio, Moses Simon, and Willem Geubbels are seen as insufficient.
With just 10 days left in the transfer window, Red Bull plans to use its vast network to address those gaps. The stakes are high—Paris FC cannot afford to flirt with relegation so early in their top-flight return.
