Paul Pogba was officially unveiled by AS Monaco on Thursday. Free after leaving Juventus, the 2018 World Cup winner has signed a two-year deal with the club from the Principality. And as he admitted himself, Kylian Mbappé played a part in his decision.
The former Monaco star recommended the move to his former France teammate. “I spoke with Kylian, Ben (Mendy), and Kondogbia… They told me the place is great, life here is good. I also had a great feeling talking with Thiago Scuro,” said Pogba.
Convinced by both the project and the lifestyle, he also met with head coach Adi Hütter to better understand the team’s system.
Focused, calm and motivated, Pogba now aims to return to his best form and help Monaco fight for top spots this season.
