Paris Saint-Germain and Fabian Ruiz are close to reaching an agreement for a contract extension, according to PSG Inside Actus on X. While the Spanish midfielder has often faced criticism in Paris, Luis Enrique has made him a key part of his project.

The PSG coach recently admitted that leaving Ruiz out of the Spanish national team was a mistake. Now, he fully relies on him in Paris, particularly for his endurance and consistency. According to Le Parisien, Ruiz has one of the best minutes-played/distance-covered ratios in the squad, making him a crucial asset in PSG’s tactical setup.
