PSG are keeping a very close eye on William Saliba. The Arsenal centre-back, now regarded as one of the world references in his position, is among the major profiles being monitored by Paris as they look to strengthen their defence in the coming months.
Another French international on PSG’s radar? Paris are ready to move for William Saliba if Arsenal open the door. According to Ekrem Konur, FC Barcelona are closely following the French defender’s situation. But the Catalan club are not alone: PSG and Real Madrid are also said to be on alert. In Paris, this file is being taken very seriously.
PSG Dream of a Huge French Signing
PSG want to keep building an XXL defence, with young, powerful and reliable profiles capable of playing out cleanly from the back. Saliba ticks absolutely every box. A France international, a leader in the Premier League, dominant in duels and extremely calm under pressure, the former Saint-Étienne and OM player has everything to be the ideal defender for the Paris project.
For Paris, Saliba would not be just another signing. It would be a huge prestige move on the French market. A player already established among the best defenders in the world, still young, already experienced, and capable of embodying the PSG defence for several years. PSG know the deal is extremely complicated, but remain ready to pounce at the slightest signal.
Arsenal, for their part, are clearly shutting the door. The Gunners have no desire to sell their defender, who is under contract until 2030 and considered almost untouchable in London. To even begin talks, Arsenal would reportedly demand at least €150 million. A completely crazy and deliberately deterrent price, which would make Saliba the most expensive centre-back in history. For now, PSG are watching, Barça are pushing, Real Madrid are monitoring, and Arsenal are locking things down. But if an opportunity appears, Paris could very quickly position themselves for William Saliba.
