Adrien Rabiot kicked out of OM? His entourage is hitting back hard. Speaking on RMC’s After Foot, the Rabiot family’s lawyer, Romuald Palao, blasted the club’s version of events.
What a brutal fall from grace for Rabiot. Welcomed as a hero in Marseille last season, a locker room leader just days ago, the former PSG midfielder is now being shown the door. And his camp isn’t buying the official explanation.
According to Palao, the reasons given by OM — “lack of commitment,” “drop in attitude since the training camp in the Netherlands” — are nothing but lies. “It’s completely false!” he thundered. For the Rabiot clan, the altercation with Jonathan Rowe is nothing more than a pretext to get rid of the French international.
“When you want to kill a dog…”
“When you want to kill a dog, you say it has rabies,” Palao quipped. In his view, Rabiot, described as happy and fully invested, is the victim of an internal plot. Rumors are even circulating that his eviction is designed to free up a squad spot for another signing in the transfer window.
“The lack of understanding is total,” insisted the lawyer, reminding everyone that the Rabiot family had, until now, enjoyed excellent relations with the club’s hierarchy. The result? OM have placed their international midfielder on the transfer list after just one year at the Vélodrome.
An explosive saga has begun — and nobody knows how far it will go.
