Real Madrid are flying high with a perfect start to the season, but Vinicius Jr’s situation is raising eyebrows.
The Brazilian star, once untouchable, has found himself starting on the bench – and with his contract expiring in 2027, renewal talks have stalled.
According to AS, Vinicius’ initial wage demands were far above Madrid’s offer. Even after lowering them, no agreement has been reached, while a massive bid from Saudi Arabia looms in the background.
“There will be moments for everyone”
Under Xabi Alonso, he is no longer the untouchable player he was under Carlo Ancelotti. Against Marseille in the Champions League, he started on the bench. “There will be moments for everyone, no one can play every game,” Alonso said.
A clear sign: Real are evolving – and Vinicius’ long-term future at the Bernabéu is anything but certain.
