Arnaud Kalimuendo is on the verge of a big career move. Despite Rennes’ disappointing 12th-place finish in Ligue 1 last season, the 23-year-old striker impressed with 18 goals and 4 assists, and is now close to leaving Brittany.
According to Le Parisien, Nottingham Forest have submitted a €30 million (£25.2m) bid, which Rennes are set to accept. A PSG academy graduate who made his name during loan spells at Lens, Kalimuendo has also been linked with AC Milan, Juventus, Newcastle and Brentford.
After two seasons with Rennes, the France U21 international now looks ready to test himself in the Premier League, with his move likely to be finalised in the coming days.
