Heung-min Son is heading to MLS! After ten successful seasons at Tottenham, the 33-year-old South Korean forward is set to join Los Angeles FC this summer.
His departure marks the end of an era at Spurs, who respected the decision of their long-time captain and allowed him to leave on good terms.
But the deal is far from ordinary: according to ESPN, Son’s transfer is valued at €22.5 million, making it the most expensive in Major League Soccer history. He overtakes Emmanuel Latte Lath’s €21.25 million move to Atlanta from Middlesbrough in February 2025.
A massive move for MLS, which lands yet another global star — at a premium price.
