Tottenham ready to sell Heung-min Son, end of an era approaching in Premier League.
Shock at Spurs: Heung-min Son could leave Tottenham this summer as the club reportedly opens the door to a transfer, just one year before his contract expires.
According to The Times, Tottenham will not stand in the way of Son’s departure, even encouraging a move before his deal ends in 2026. Despite 11 goals in 46 appearances last season, no talks of an extension have emerged. The club would prefer to collect a transfer fee now rather than lose him for free next summer.
Son on the market… but not before August
The South Korean forward, now 32, is said to be increasingly isolated in the dressing room. Saudi and Turkish clubs have already shown interest, with more expected to join the race now that he’s officially on the market.
One condition: Son won’t be allowed to leave before August 3, as he’s committed to Tottenham’s preseason friendly against Newcastle in South Korea — a key part of the club’s commercial tour. After that, his exit could become a reality.
