Transfer Twist: Griezmann Set to Stay at Atlético Madrid

Despite recent rumors of a departure, Antoine Griezmann (34) may surprisingly continue with Atlético Madrid beyond this season.

According to AS, during the international break, the French forward and the club held talks expressing a mutual desire to continue their journey together. Griezmann, under contract until June 2026, is now expected to play at least one more season with the Rojiblancos before a possible move to Major League Soccer — a long-rumored next step in his career.

No Return to Les Bleus

While Griezmann may remain in Madrid, a return to the French national team is off the table. The 2018 World Cup winner, who announced his international retirement recently, does not appear ready to reverse that decision.
