Gavi has spoken out to clarify his future, firmly ruling out a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Linked with a transfer to PSG back in 2023 following Luis Enrique’s arrival in Paris, the 19-year-old midfielder—who was handed his Spain debut by the current PSG coach—was seen as a credible target at the time. However, the talks never progressed.
Now, speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Gavi has put the speculation to rest: “People can believe whatever they want, but it’s not going to happen. I’m calm here.”
“My dream is to stay at Barcelona my whole career.”
Asked about a potential move to PSG in the future, his answer was clear: “My dream is to stay at Barcelona my whole career. This is the club of my life. I’ll do everything to stay.”
It’s a clear message: despite past rumours, Gavi has never considered leaving Barça. As for PSG, with the recent signings of Désiré Doué and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the French champions may no longer be interested either. The train may have passed.
