Despite a mixed exit in 2023, Neymar still holds Paris Saint-Germain in high regard—at least according to his father.
In an interview with L’Équipe, Neymar Senior described his son’s time in Paris (2017–2023) as his “best phase,” even without a Champions League trophy to show for it.
“He was one of the architects of the 2020 final. But we were unlucky,” he said, brushing off past tension with supporters: “That happens.”
Nasser? “A Friend.”
Could a return to PSG be on the table one day? Neymar’s father believes it wouldn’t be far-fetched: “He’d probably be applauded,” he claimed, adding that their relationship with the club remains intact.
Neymar Senior even referred to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi as “a friend” and closed with a striking line: “No one can erase what we’ve done for this club.”
A comeback as a player seems unlikely—but an ambassadorial role someday? The door, it seems, is still ajar.
