Paris Saint-Germain is making serious progress on two key summer transfer targets: Rodrigo Mora and Ilya Zabarnyi.
The Ligue 1 champions are still in talks with FC Porto over 18-year-old Rodrigo Mora, an attacking midfielder seen as a major prospect by Luis Enrique and Luis Campos. PSG has already submitted an offer of €45 million (approx. £38 million), but Porto remains firm.
Porto Playing Hardball
Porto president André Villas-Boas is demanding the full €70 million release clause (around £59.5 million) for Mora, who is under contract until 2030. For now, the Portuguese club refuses any compromise — despite the player’s openness to a move.
Zabarnyi Getting Closer
Meanwhile, an agreement appears much closer for Ilya Zabarnyi, the 22-year-old Ukrainian centre-back currently at Bournemouth. The defender has reportedly agreed personal terms with PSG on a deal running until 2030.
The French club is now negotiating directly with Bournemouth, who are reluctant to sell but may ultimately accept. According to PSG Inside Actus, the two clubs are edging toward a final agreement.
Strategic Signings
PSG is clearly betting on youth and potential in this transfer window. But they’ll need to stay patient and firm to finalize these deals — and potentially invest close to €120 million (£102 million) in total to secure both talents.
