Lamine Yamal’s turbulent summer continues. For his 18th birthday, Barcelona’s young star was honored with a Superman-style mural in the Gràcia district by street artist TVBoy. But on Wednesday morning, the piece was found completely defaced with graffiti, rendering it unrecognizable. It’s the second such act targeting TVBoy’s work, following the defacement of a Nico Williams mural earlier this summer.
While Yamal has been absent from the pitch — Barcelona not participating in the Club World Cup — his name has made headlines off the field. He was seen vacationing with Neymar, and later linked to an OnlyFans influencer 12 years his senior — a relationship he firmly denied. His birthday party, attended by 200 guests and held under a “gangster” theme, sparked another controversy due to the presence of two dwarf performers, prompting an investigation by the Spanish government.
Despite the drama, Yamal remains focused. He’s back training with Barça and is expected to sign a contract extension until 2031. Reports suggest he may even inherit the iconic No. 10 shirt left behind by Ansu Fati.
