Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has undergone successful shoulder surgery after months of playing through pain.

The English international opted to go under the knife following the Club World Cup, where he continued to perform despite his injury.

The operation, planned for some time, went smoothly. Bellingham is expected to be sidelined for two to three months, missing part of Real Madrid’s summer preparation and the start of the 2025-26 season.

The 21-year-old shared a heartfelt message on Instagram to thank the medical staff and reassure fans: “Thank you to Andrew Wallace & Susan Alexander, their team and everyone at Fortius Clinic for the surgery and hospitality. To Ivan Ortega and Dr Leyes for travelling to support. And finally, to everyone else for all the well wishes and messages of love. The process to come back has already started, see you soon”

Both the player and the club are confident that he will return at full strength by autumn.
