Mason Greenwood is making waves this summer. After an eye-catching pre-season with Marseille and a goal against Girona, the English winger has become Al-Nassr’s top transfer priority, according to Saudi reports. And he’s not the only one on CR7’s radars.
With Otavio expected to leave, the Riyadh-based club sees Greenwood as the perfect successor. No formal bid has landed yet, but interest is serious — and growing fast.
Signed for €26M (£22M), Greenwood is still under contract with OM. But 40% of any resale fee must go to Manchester United, which makes a major offer hard to ignore. So far, Pablo Longoria is standing firm: Greenwood is not for sale before the Champions League.
Still, the pressure is rising.
Al-Nassr already made a €60M (£51M) offer for Antony, the Brazilian winger returning from a strong loan at Betis. While that deal hangs in the balance, Greenwood is now their No.1 focus. More consistent, more impactful — exactly the type of player Cristiano Ronaldo wants next to him.
CR7 wants Cucurella too
Ronaldo is pushing for more. Joao Felix, Chelsea strikers, is close to signing. According to José Félix Díaz, the Portuguese legend has also requested the signing of Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella. Reinforcements on both flanks — that’s the CR7 blueprint.
Can OM hold the line?
What started as a summer to build has become a test of resistance. Roberto De Zerbi sees Greenwood as a pillar of his project, but the Saudi millions — and Ronaldo’s influence — could make the fight to keep him very real.
