PSG are keeping a close eye on young talents capable of breaking through at the highest level. A new name has now appeared on the Parisian radar: Lennart Karl, Bayern Munich’s 18-year-old wonderkid, who is being monitored by an impressive list of European giants.
According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Paris Saint-Germain are among the clubs tracking the young German’s development. Manchester City and Chelsea are also reportedly watching him, while Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool are said to have already shown stronger interest.
PSG Join Europe’s Giants in the Race for Lennart Karl
Karl has become one of Bayern’s most closely watched young players. A left-footer who can operate as a number 10 or on the right wing, he stands out for his technical quality, explosiveness in tight spaces and ability to threaten in front of goal. Real Madrid are reportedly particularly interested, and Karl has previously described the Spanish giants as his “dream club.” Arsenal are said to have sent scouts to Germany to watch him, while Liverpool reportedly made initial enquiries with Bayern even before he turned 18.
For PSG, the situation is still believed to be at the monitoring stage, with Paris following Karl’s development and situation in Munich without entering negotiations with Bayern. The German club have no intention of selling the youngster, whose contract runs until June 2029. According to fussball-news.de, an offer of around €100 million could be required to persuade Bayern to even consider opening talks.
Bayern instead want to gradually develop Karl into an important first-team player for the future. PSG therefore appear to be positioning themselves for a possible opportunity rather than preparing an immediate move. However, if Karl’s situation changes, particularly regarding his playing time, Paris could enter the race. With Real Madrid, Barcelona and several Premier League giants already watching closely, Karl could quickly become one of the most sought-after young players in the European transfer market.
