Manchester City fans have reason to celebrate as Rayan Cherki could be back on the pitch sooner than anticipated. The 22-year-old French midfielder suffered a hamstring injury at the end of August, initially expected to sideline him for nearly two months.

However, a recent MRI scan revealed that Cherki’s recovery is progressing well, according to *L’Équipe*. This news has sparked hope among supporters and the coaching staff.

Cherki has begun his rehabilitation process and is set to join team training in the coming days. His potential return is now eyeing the match against Brentford on October 5, or even a surprise comeback against Monaco in the Champions League on October 1.

This accelerated timeline is a blessing for manager Pep Guardiola, who is in need of fresh attacking options. It also bodes well for national team coach Didier Deschamps, who is looking for solutions ahead of October’s World Cup qualifying matches against Azerbaijan and Iceland.

In just two Premier League appearances this season, Cherki has already netted one goal. If he returns as planned, he could become a key player for both Manchester City and the French national team.
