Paris Saint-Germain made a concerning announcement this Thursday, October 30: Désiré Doué is suffering from a muscle injury in his right thigh.
The young midfielder, wearing number 14, will face a prolonged absence that will extend over several weeks. A new update will be provided after the international break, but it is certain that Doué will not be part of the team during this period.
The international break is already a loss for Didier Deschamps, who will have to do without Doué. The young talent will not be able to participate in the matches against Ukraine and Azerbaijan, as he was beginning to establish himself with the national team. This is a significant blow for French football, as his rise was one of the best pieces of news at the moment.
For PSG, the situation is even more complicated. The team will have to navigate a crucial month without one of its most influential players since August.
The challenges ahead for the club are daunting: a clash against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, a match against OL on November 9, and other encounters against Tottenham, Monaco, and Rennes.
Doué will miss some major clashes with PSG.
And that’s not all. According to information from L’Équipe, a return for Doué is not expected before 2026. This absence could also deprive him of the intercontinental cup scheduled for mid-December, plunging PSG further into uncertainty.
PSG supporters must now face the reality of a grueling schedule, without one of their best assets.
