Endrick to Lyon is almost finalized. Struggling for playing time at Real Madrid, the 19-year-old Brazilian prodigy is expected to arrive in January on loan without a purchase option, with OL covering 50% of his salary. Everything is going smoothly… or almost.
Lyon: Endrick is coming… but Real wants to be able to recall him! This is obviously not a transfer. Even worse, the Merengue club wants to have him back whenever they want.
According to Canal+, Real wants to include an express recall clause: in case of injury to a Madrid striker, the Merengue wish to be able to retrieve Endrick immediately. And this is where the issue arises.
A 15-day clause that causes problems
Real wants a clause valid until January 31, but OL refuses and demands a deadline of January 15, to have time to react in the transfer market if Endrick suddenly leaves.
A real standoff over the timing, which does not jeopardize the loan but delays the final agreement. Endrick, for his part, is just waiting to play. And Lyon is ready to welcome him.
