According to him, it was a “fucking huge mistake.” At the time, Barcelona was in financial trouble, his house had just been burglarized, and the club had to choose between selling Depay or him.
The only serious offer came from Chelsea. Aubameyang accepted, for his family… but he still regrets it.

Today, at 36 years old, the Marseille striker fully acknowledges: Chelsea was the wrong choice at the wrong time. And a decision he will never forget. However, his return to OM seems to be the right decision for now.
