Neymar has once again made headlines… but not for the right reasons. Already criticized after a disastrous match with Santos against Flamengo on Sunday, the Brazilian star (33 years old) literally imploded, both on the field and on his social media.

A phone call to the coach… but no apologiesAnd then… he insults a media outlet

A nightmarish match… and erratic behavior. Returning as captain after two months away, Neymar delivered one of his worst performances last weekend.

Repeated mood swings, constant irritation, shouting at his teammates, incessant protests… He even crossed the entire field to take a goal kick himself, frustrated by his team’s pace. The climax? Substituted in the 85th minute, he went straight to the locker room… missing the two goals scored by Santos after his departure.

A phone call to the coach… but no apologies

Under a deluge of criticism in Brazil, Neymar did contact his coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda. According to Globo Esporte, he acknowledged that he had “overreacted,” but did not offer any apologies, preferring to hide behind the “mediocre” performance of the referee to justify his nerves.

And then… he insults a media outlet

As if that weren’t enough, Neymar then took to Instagram to respond to Globo Esporte’s publication.
His comment, terse and vulgar: “Another lie invented by a shitty journalist,” accompanied by a flood of mocking emojis.

This additional outburst only fuels the discomfort surrounding his return to Santos.
