Two days before PSG–Le Havre, Luis Enrique has dampened enthusiasm around a possible return of Ousmane Dembélé. While the French winger has resumed individual training, the coach refuses to get carried away.
When asked about Ousmane Dembélé’s condition, PSG coach Luis Enrique first cut off the question: “I don’t know, I’m not a doctor.” He then clarified the situation, without any certainty:
“He is improving his fitness. Maybe he will start training. We need to stay attentive… In the coming weeks, we will see Ousmane Dembélé on the field.”
A clear message: no rush, no promises. Dembélé is making progress, but the staff wants to avoid any risk. Will we see him in the Champions League against Tottenham? That remains completely unclear. Luis Enrique has kept the suspense alive.
Luis Enrique also reminds that the preparation has been complicated during the international break: “There are very few players left… tactically, you can’t do anything.” Therefore, it is impossible to anticipate the reintegration of the striker into a solid collective framework.
Dembélé is coming back, yes, but at his own pace, and only when the signals are perfect.
