It’s the bad news of the day for PSG: Lucas Chevalier will not be available against Rennes on Saturday night.
Lucas Chevalier is out! The goalkeeper is still suffering from his ankle, injured during the match against Monaco. Despite a full week without competition, the pain hasn’t decreased and he remains under treatment. He will be replaced for the first time this season by Matvey Safonov.
Beyond this major absence, PSG must also deal with several other unavailable players. Achraf Hakimi and Désiré Doué are still in their recovery phase and shouldn’t return to competition until the end of 2025, even though Doué made his return to group training this Thursday. As for Nuno Mendes, he is still unavailable and continues his rehabilitation after his thigh injury against Tottenham.

The surprise also comes from Lucas Beraldo, who suffered an overload in his left calf during training, even though he hadn’t played in recent days. The Brazilian defender is limited to indoor work.
Already weakened, PSG will therefore face Rennes with a significantly depleted squad and several key players in the infirmary.
