Isaiah Thomas shared a tasty little story on his X account. The 36yearold American point guard, former Boston Celtics star and now a player for the Salt Lake City Stars in the GLeague, said he was… mistaken for Kylian Mbappé by his Uber driver.
Kylian Mbappé is everywhere — really everywhere. On the pitch in Madrid and at the same time in Salt Lake City, deep in the United States. An incredible gift of ubiquity that should’ve tipped off the Uber driver. But no.
According to Thomas, the driver was convinced he had the PSG star sitting in the back of his car. “I got in the Uber and the guy thought I was Mbappé. He thought I was lying when I said I wasn’t Mbappé. He had Google open and everything,” the player recounted, laughing.
An unlikely scene, especially since the two men don’t really look alike. But the story gave Isaiah Thomas a good laugh… and the internet too.
Got in a uber and dude thought I was Mbappe. He thought I was lying that I wasn’t. Had it on google and everything 😂😂😂
