OM: Roberto De Zerbi’s Ask Strongly for New Players

Roberto De Zerbi spoke about the upcoming transfer window and Olympique de Marseille’s potential needs, leaving the door open to several options. The Italian coach first emphasized that decisions would be made collectively, in close coordination with the club’s management.

“We need to sit down with Pablo (Longoria, the president) and Medhi (Benatia, the sporting director). I think we may need something, but we’ll see,” he explained, adding that discussions would mainly focus on arrivals. “As for departures, that’s not a question for me.”

Collective Decisions for OM’s Sporting Direction

Asked about a possible attacking reinforcement, De Zerbi did not rule anything out. “It could be a solution, but it could also be in midfield or in defense,” he said, stressing the importance of overall consistency. “You have to take into account what we can afford financially and where we want to go.”

The Marseille coach above all insisted on teamwork and a shared vision with the sporting leadership. “When the three of us talk, we exchange ideas for the good of OM. It’s always OM that comes first,” he concluded, suggesting that adjustments will be made according to sporting priorities and the club’s resources.
