The next generation is on the move. Like his illustrious father before him, Maximilian Ibrahimovic is preparing to move to Ajax Amsterdam. At just 19 years old, Zlatan’s son will try to launch his career at a club renowned for shaping young talents.
After Zlatan, the new Ibrahimovic generation is stepping up. According to De Telegraaf, the Swedish winger Maximilian Ibrahimovic will join Ajax this winter from AC Milan on a loan deal with an option to buy.

The Rossoneri, however, will keep a buy-back clause, proof that they still believe in the player’s potential and do not want to completely lose control over his future.
Ajax, for their part, already seem ready to think long term. According to journalist Nicolo Schira, the Dutch club is considering offering Maximilian Ibrahimovic a three-year contract at the end of the season. A nod to history, since his father Zlatan also wore the Ajax shirt between 2001 and 2004 before launching his legendary career.
It is now up to Maximilian to write his own story, far away yet inevitably in the shadow of the Swedish giant.
