Olympique de Marseille has reached a not-so-glorious milestone in European competition, with nearly as many defeats as victories.
OM has broken a record, but a sad one they would rather have avoided. Heavily beaten by Liverpool (0-3) on Wednesday in the Champions League, the Phocaeans recorded the 100th European defeat in their history, as highlighted by the Stats du Foot account on X.
A Historic Club Still Present on the Continental Stage
It is a symbolic figure for a club that has nevertheless been very active on the continental scene. OM remains the third most-capped French club in European competition, behind PSG (300 matches) and Olympique Lyonnais (298).
Over the course of their European campaigns, Marseille have posted a record of 120 wins, 60 draws, and now 100 defeats.
