The figure is sending shockwaves through Madrid. A Saudi club has contacted Real Madrid to inquire about Vinicius with an XXL budget: around €230 million, a historic amount.

Vinicius has seen his worst nightmare, Xabi Alonso, leave. But that does not necessarily mean the Brazilian will stay in Madrid. For now, Real Madrid are shutting the door: Vinicius is not for sale this winter. But the situation is far from settled.

A contract standoff and a record offer

Only 18 months remain on the Brazilian star’s contract, and talks over an extension are at a standstill. An agreement existed, but the player’s agents have raised their demands. Madrid refuse to give in.
