Manchester City is already preparing for the post-Guardiola era. While Pep Guardiola is under contract until June 2027, his future beyond that date remains unclear. An uncertainty that is pushing the Skyblues’ executives to make moves behind the scenes.

According to the English press, several options have been considered in recent months to take over from the immense Pep Guardiola. The track leading to Enzo Maresca reportedly even cost the Italian his job at Chelsea. But another name is now making far more noise: Xabi Alonso.

City, United, Liverpool… and Bayern. According to Football Transfers, the current Real Madrid coach is the leading favorite to succeed Guardiola at Manchester City.
