According to RMC Sport, Benjamin Pavard is still leaving uncertainty surrounding his future at Olympique de Marseille, and the club does not appear willing to keep him.
Loaned from Inter with a purchase option, the 29-year-old defender has not fully convinced internally despite significant playing time this season.
Marseille leaning toward a departure at season’s end
Still according to RMC Sport, and used by Pancho Abardonado, the French international has taken part in 17 of 19 Ligue 1 matches, recording one goal and two assists. Those numbers are considered respectable but not enough to silence doubts about his defensive consistency. Internally, the trend is said to favor an exit at the end of the season.
RMC Sport, citing journalist Nicolo Schira, reports that Marseille’s management has already approved the principle of a departure, even if squad changes occur, such as a potential transfer of Amir Murillo to Besiktas. The expected arrival of Habib Beye on the bench is unlikely to change anything, as the former Rennes coach is coming for a short-term mission and will not provide guidance on transfer plans for now. OM will therefore continue the current process.
