Marquinhos on the way out? Not so fast. Despite rumors that resurface every transfer window, the PSG captain has no desire to give up the armband or leave Paris. Still, he is beginning to think about his pre-retirement plans.
Marquinhos is not eternal. Under contract until 2028 after extending his deal in 2023, the Brazilian defender remains firmly established at the club.
A Future Exit Considered Toward the Middle East
According to L’Équipe, he is now far less open to a departure than in the past. Saudi clubs have made repeated approaches and spoken with his entourage, but without convincing him to move. A return to Brazil is not part of his plans either.
Privately, Marquinhos is said to consider only a possible move to Qatar or elsewhere in the Middle East, with no set timeline. For their part, PSG are not pushing him toward the exit door.
The club is preparing for the future but continues to rely on its leader. The final decision will rest with the sporting staff — and for now, there is no sign of the end of his reign.
