The future of Antoine Kombouaré at Paris FC remains uncertain. The coach, who arrived last week to help save the club from relegation in Ligue 2, insists that he is not planning to stay long—at least for now.

Known as a specialist in rescuing struggling teams, Kombouaré’s main mission is to ensure the Parisian club stays in Ligue 2. His contract only runs until next June, and even he does not yet know what comes next.

A Short-Term Mission for the Coach

Speaking on RMC, Kombouaré confirmed that his role is primarily focused on the short term, while leaving the door open to a possible extension. “It’s a project built around youth, development, and young coaches… That’s the choice that has been made today. I didn’t ask for anything, but now that I’m here, I’m very happy to do the job.”

The experienced coach prefers to stay focused on the immediate objective rather than thinking too far ahead. “I’ve stopped making long-term plans. Everyone talks about the future, but my future only goes until the end of the season, and then we’ll see.”

Drawn by the club’s ambition, Kombouaré fully embraces his decision to join the project. “Today, I made this choice because it’s a young club that is still being built and very ambitious. It’s exciting.”
